6 Wellness Tips That Are Actually Evidence-Based

Choose to take responsibility for your health.


Responsibility means an ability to respond. Ask yourself, “Do you have the ability to respond to how you are feeling?”You are able to respond to your body’s need to look after it.

When you realize that you have the ability to respond, this instantly puts you back in control of your body’s wellbeing and empowers you to do the things that make you feel better.


1. Be good to your body if you want your body to be good to you.

You only have one body. If you look after your body, your body will look after you.

If you want to live longer, respect your body and pay attention to your health. You are like the CEO of your body. Participate in your wellness. Own your choices.

Sleep is nature’s restorer. Hydration is super important. Drink more water. Eat better food. You may think you can’t afford healthy food, but what will it cost you not to be healthy?


2. Eat Vegetables & Fruit

Vegetables and fruits are loaded with prebiotic fiber, vitamins, minerals, and many antioxidants, some of which have potent biological effects.

Studies show that people who eat the most vegetables and fruits live longer and have a lower risk of heart disease, Good for Mental Health, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and other illnesses


3. Don't Go On A Diet

Diets are ineffective and rarely work well in the long term.

In fact, dieting is one of the strongest predictors for future weight gain (trusted source)

Instead of going on a diet, try adopting a healthier lifestyle. Focus on nourishing your body instead of depriving it.Weight Loss should follow as you transition to whole, nutritious foods.

4. Choose to be a wellness machine

Remember that you always have a choice and you can choose what you want to focus on.

When you don’t feel 100%, recognize and rationalize why you feel that way. Focus on how you want to feel and what you can do to feel better.

Bring your attention to what you want, not what you don’t want.

Choose health and wellness.


5. Take care of your gut health with probiotics and fiber

The bacteria in your gut, collectively called the gut microbiota, are incredibly important for overall health.

A disruption in gut bacteria is linked to some of the world’s most serious chronic diseases, including obesity.

Good ways to improve gut health include eating probiotic foods like yogurt and sauerkraut, taking probiotic supplements, and eating plenty of fiber. Notably, fiber functions as fuel for your gut bacteria.


6.Avoid Bright Lights Before Bedtime

When you’re exposed to bright lights in the evening, it may disrupt your production of the sleep hormone melatonin.

One strategy is to use a pair of amber-tinted glasses that block blue light from entering your eyes in the evening.

This allows melatonin to be produced as if it were completely dark, helping you sleep better


Give yourself the ability to respond to your body’s needs. Stop talking about illness and start focusing on wellness instead.


A few simple steps can go a long way toward improving your diet and wellness.

Still, if you’re trying to live a healthier life, don’t just focus on the foods you eat. Exercise, sleep, and social relationships are also important.
