Discovering Shanti Som: A Hidden Wellness Retreat in Marbella

Shanti Som in Marbella was more than just a retreat; it was a rejuvenating experience for my mind, body, and spirit. Tucked away in the breathtaking Andalucian countryside, this serene hideaway provided the perfect setting for a week dedicated to holistic well-being and healthy living.(Pictures dont do it justice)



A True Oasis of Calm

From the moment I arrived at Shanti Som, I felt instantly relaxed. The place is designed with a perfect mix of Eastern vibes and the gorgeous Andalucian countryside. Picture bamboo gardens, waterfalls, and wide-open spaces that just make you want to chill out. With only a few rooms, it feels super intimate and quiet—like a little hidden haven where you can really chill and recharge.









Mindfulness and Yoga

Shanti Som is all about mindfulness, and it’s such a big part of their approach to wellness. They’ve got daily yoga and meditation sessions that are great for everyone, whether you're a total beginner or a yoga pro. The open-air yoga pavilion, with those stunning mountain views, is the ideal spot to just breathe and unwind. Every class helps you relax, stretch, and find a little more balance—by the end, you feel way more grounded and centered.


Nourishing the Body

One of the best parts of Shanti Som is the food—it’s seriously next level. The on-site restaurant serves up super nutritious meals that are seasonal, locally-sourced, and catered to pretty much every dietary preference. Whether you’re into plant-based dishes or just love a fresh, vibrant salad, there’s something for everyone.


A personal favorite? The beetroot and goat cheese salad. It was so fresh and flavorful, I ended up ordering it more than once! Every meal felt like a treat, but still totally healthy. Shanti Som really nails the balance between delicious and detox-friendly, making sure you’re nourishing your body and still enjoying every bite.




Shanti Som was pure tranquility. The whole place was spotless and peaceful, with Buddhas and calming artwork everywhere you looked. You could just feel the zen vibes in every corner. By the time the week was over, I felt totally grounded and reconnected with myself. If you’re after a retreat with sunshine, relaxation, and a great way to work on your self, Shanti Som is the spot. It’s an experience that’ll stick with me for a long time!
